Set deep in the folds of  a Cotswold valley, The New Inn is surrounded by gardens and rambling woods - a delight for children to safely play and explore.

Reaching The New Inn is an adventure of its own.  From Dursley, follow the signposts for Wotton-Under-Edge and North Nibley. Watch carefully on your left for the small "finger post" that will point you to Waterley Bottom. Take the turning and it's all downhill from there! Waterley Bottom is well sign-posted, and just when you think you are lost, another signpost points you directly to this quaint, 200 year old inn.

Although owners, Les Smitherman and Leigh Burke insist they are "a pub" and not a restaurant, there is a wide selection of high quality home-cooked meals served lunch-times and evenings.  Light snacks are available at all times except Mondays.

Being a genuine English pub, there is an exceptionally wide range of real ales and ciders. Real ales include, Cotleigh Brewery's "Tawny Bitter",  Greene King's "Abbot Ale", Bath Ales' "Spa" and Bath Ales' "Gem" and last but not least, "Wye Valley Bitter". In addition, there are two 'Guest ales', which are usually changed weekly. newinn_beerboard.gif (35769 bytes)

Les and Leigh are always on hand to welcome friends and touring visitors alike to this delightlful little corner of rural England. This is a special little pub we highly recommend that will give you somewhere to remember and talk about for many years after your visit.
