| In 1644, during the Civil war,
King Charles I took refuge at the WHITE HART ROYAL HOTEL, a typical 17th
century coaching inn. The hotel has been sympathetically refurbished and still retains
many original features such as old stone walls mellow beam work and an unusual cobblestone
entrance hall. The restaurant and bar offer freshly prepared meals from an extensive menu together with a good selection of fine wines. The White Hart Royal has 19 fully equipped en-suite bedrooms which have been tastefully decorated including 2 on the ground floor.Two conference rooms can accommodate up to 80 guests. |
