Slimbridge Boat Station Ltd lies alongside the Sharpness Canal, within comfortable walking distance of the Slimbridge Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, midway between Gloucester and Bristol, and close to Berkeley Castle and the Jenner Museum.

This is an ideal location to moor up and visit the many other local sights and amenities.The Boat Station will hire you a bike to get you around and can also provide you with local maps and tourist information. You can relax over a drink or take tea and cakes in our licensed canal-side cafe.

Sharpness Canal - Slimbridge . The Sharpness Canal links the Bristol Channel to Gloucester and the River Severn. It is one of the most important sea serving canals in the UK, linking  the entire UK canal network to the South Western approaches.

The canal is also one of our best maintained inland waterways. Wide, clean and well manned, it has proven to be among the country's favourite boating destinations for decades. There is ample mooring at Slimbridge for all manner of boats, from narrow-boats to luxury sea-going launches.

GLEVUM BOAT HIRE

GLEVUM & SARUM are purpose built steel hulled day boats, fully equipped for up to 10 persons, with cooker, coolbox, crockery, cutlery and glasses. A flush toilet, H & C water and cabin heater are fitted. Bouyancy aids and waterproofs are provided. Booking deposit of £50 is required.

CORINIUM is 52 (16m) feet in length and sleeps 4-6 persons. She is available for short breaks (3 & 4 nights) and is equipped to a high standard with central heating, T.V, radio, bath, fully equipped galley and all-weather steering position. There is a £100 refundable booking deposit required.
