This is a small family business run by Betty and John Hayward, where personal and dedicated service is provided in a warm and friendly atmosphere. You begin your day with a full, and I must say hearty, English farmhouse breakfast. The pace is leisurely and the options for a day out are countless.

Hyde Wood House is approximately one mile from the centre of Minchinhamptom village on the edge of 650 acres of open grazing land known as Minchinhampton common.

Minchinhampton, a village dating back over 1,500 years, is situated within easy reach of all the Cotswold Hills' amenities. Gloucester, Cirencester, Cheltenham, all ancient Roman strongholds, are within 10 miles. Stonehenge, Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford are all close enough for a comfortable day out.

The Woolsack

Offers spacious and well equipped self-catering accommodation for a couple seeking peace and quiet among the Cotswold Hills. You will live below exposed timber beams, overlooking endless countryside, but with all the modern facilities necessary to ensure a comfortable and relaxing break away from it all. The Woolsack is situated in the gardens of Hyde Wood House, an area of about ½ an acre, which guests are at liberty to enjoy.
