| Anne Fowler's shop
has a unique character. Buying mainly in France, she manages not only to
select interesting items of garden furniture, statuary and jardinieres, but also
incorporates in her look small items of painted furniture and faience, expressing what has
been described as 'shabby chic' style. To compliment this, Anne buys chandeliers and
sconces, often encrusted with lustres, and mirrors in which the antique glass reflects the
whole ambience of her most distinctive style. The whitewashed walls hung with monochrome
prints, and the flagstone floor of Anne's shop give the impression that you have walked
into a sunny private conservatory, such is the French style and the atmosphere in Anne
