Royal Oak Inn

Close to the centre of this beautiful Cotswold town and situated directly on the Cotswold Way, is The Royal Oak. Over 300 years old this handsome inn, now owned by Mark and Lesley Austin, has just been completely renovated and, we are happy to say, without affecting its unique character.

Just 'The Oak' to the locals - The Inn provides good old-fashioned English cooking in comfortable and roomy surroundings.

Food can be taken in either the main dining room or in the bar in front of a homely, wood burning fire.

Royaloak_fire Over the years The Oak has earned itself a reputation for value for money. Their baguettes, a meal on their own, rang from the usual run-of-the-mill to Pastrami with salad to smoked trout fillet. All have proven exceptionally popular.

Much can also be said of real ales at the Royal Oak and a wide range of other popular beers and lagers. Equally important is the atmosphere of friendliness. The locals are especially welcoming to strangers and in particular, those visiting from overseas.

There is a large car-park, were it is worth stopping off to experience this charming country inn.
