Descending Whiteways Hill into Dursley, one funnels down a winding, twisting
lane through tall, overhanging trees and steep banks. Clearing the wooded
hills, The New Inn is the first pub you come to. Here owners, Shaun Ball and
Sharon Akhorst run the
business as if it was everybody's second home. The bars are spotless, and
the service instant, and as important, mine Hosts have nurtured a real family
atmosphere. The New Inn is one of the town's more popular restaurants
for lunch or dinner - bar meals are, of course, also available. |
| The restaurant
is delicately furnished with dark oak tables and chairs with wall to wall carpets. The
decor is easy on the eye pastel shades of apricot blended with wood panelling. The result
is a generally relaxed atmosphere, both at lunchtimes and evenings. |
