NATURE BROUGHT TO LIFE IN WORKS FROM MANY CULTURES AND PERIODS

The world's first museum dedicated exclusively to art inspired by nature from any period, any country and in any media is here in Gloucester. International in scope, appeal and stature, NATURE IN ART fills a gap in the museums and galleries you can visit by presenting  unique art collection.

Visit NATURE IN ART and you can see work by artists as diverse as Shepherd, Picasso, Wolf, Scott, Jan van Kessel, Middleditch, Kuhnert, Moore, Audubon, Sutherland, Liljefors, Lalique and Thorburn. From the grandeur of the wildlife landscape to the detail of oriental treasures, from the best in contemporary sculpture to the ancient mosaic, from the variety of the early illustrations to the  Nature_elephants.jpg (9551 bytes)

NATURE IN ART is an important and exciting centre with a continually developing collection and regularly changing displays supported by a varied programme of temporary exhibitions.

Fine, decorative and applied art inspired by nature is part of our heritage and deserves to be enjoyed, studied and protected, just as people are more determined than ever to safeguard our wildlife and environment. As an important centre of museum and art excellence, NATURE IN ART will also inspire the nature lover.

With its multi-media and international displays, NATURE IN ART has still much more to display.

ART STUDIOS - From February to November artists from around the world work at the museum. Come and see them in action.

THE WALLWORTH CENTRE - A purpose built centre for special exhibitions, art course, educational visits and conferences.
