Set in the beautiful Berkeley Vale and dominating the centre of the small historic town of Berkeley, is the completely refurbished, Berkeley Arms Hotel. This 17th century coaching inn will welcome you all year round in a relaxing and cosy atmosphere, enhanced in the winter months by roaring log fires.

The hotel is only a short walk from the famous Berkeley Castle and Jenner Museum and is conveniently placed for the many other local attractions.

THE RESTAURANT

The Hotel, owned and run by Tracy and Chris Freeman, also boasts an excellent restaurant, which is growing in popularity by the day. The menus, including the bar, are uncomplicated but varied, and are regularly changed according to the availability of locally produced fresh ingredients.

Eating at the Berkeley Arms Hotel is a relaxing and unhurried experience whether you choose to eat in the restaurant or linger in the bar. Although on our visit we did not sample the bar menu, casting an eye over the choices available, and given the standard of the restaurant, I'm certain it can be highly recommended.

There is an excellent Beer Garden - a delight in the Spring and Summer - where both food and drinks can be enjoyed and the children can stretch their legs.
