Just a short walk from
Gloucester City centre, we are prominently located close to the waterfront
within the
newly developed Gloucester Quays visitors' complex. This large and caringly renovated building,
built in 1834, is
one of the oldest in this exciting waterfront
environment. The Antiques Centre is world famous for its large
number of well stocked dealers offering a wide choice of
collectables, specialist antiques and objet d'art.
The Antiques Centre was founded in 1978 by E J (Eddie) Cook, who
bought the building to house his funiture and restoration workshop. Soon
after he developed the building into a shopping arcade accommodating
numerous small antiques dealers. Possibly without realizing it was destined to become one of the
largest antiques dealing centres in the U.K. |
